{"id":12570,"date":"2019-12-23T12:49:55","date_gmt":"2019-12-23T17:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rud.is\/b\/?p=12570"},"modified":"2019-12-23T12:49:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-23T17:49:55","slug":"using-rstats-to-help-santa-deliver-presents-this-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rud.is\/b\/2019\/12\/23\/using-rstats-to-help-santa-deliver-presents-this-christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"Using #rstats to Help Santa Deliver Presents This Christmas!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The right jolly old elves over at Alteryx created a &#8220;Santalytics&#8221; challenge <a href=\"https:\/\/community.alteryx.com\/t5\/SANTALYTICS-2016\/SANTALYTICS-Part-1\/m-p\/38846\/thread-id\/2\">back in 2016<\/a> to see if their community members could help Santa deliver presents to kids all across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>They posted data for four challenges along with solutions and I&#8217;ve made a git repo &amp; RStudio project with the challenges and solves for two of the four (I was going to try to have all four done but December has been a cruel master when it comes to allowing for free time).<\/p>\n<p>Most of tasks are pretty straightforward and range from basic joining and grouping to some spatial optimizations (but all very do-able with a little elbow grease).
